FUNERAL PROCESSION Complete Work On New EP

December 3, 2004

German black metallers FUNERAL PROCESSION have finished recording their new EP, "Legion Cymru". The EP will be released as a seven-inch single by Nightfog Productions (Germany),as a mini-CD by Millennial Visions (Germany) and as an MC with several bonustracks by Intolerant Rekords Canada. The seven-inch and the mini-CD are scheduled for a late 2004 release (although due to some problems with the printing of stickers it may turn out to be an early 2005 release),while the MC should follow shortly after in the first quarter of 2005. The band has recorded the following six tracks:

01. Of a World Hidden By Nocturnity
02. Lost in the Cursed Forest of Olde …
03. Longing for Apocalypse
04. For a Journey (Pt. II)
05. Christ Fire (VON)
06. Warriors of Fullmoon (Legion)

"Of a World …", "For a …" and "Warriors of …" will appear on the seven-inch EP. "Lost In the Cursed …" is an exclusive recording for the upcoming Millennial Visions CDR compilation "Albania Is the Future". Other bands participating in the tribute will include HAGAL, FORNOST and ERHABENHEIT.

The current FUNERAL PROCESSION lineup is as follows:

Count Gothmog – bass and vocals
Duke Hellfire – guitars
Ole – drums
Satyrus Sancti – synths and programming

All songs were recorded and mixed by Dirk (Hagal) and Satyrus Sancti in April and September-November 2004 at the Kargewelten Studio in Hamburg and Laubhaus Studio in Beentsteek. The cover artwork was designed by G. Bakker-Bents.

In other news, Count Gothmog has worked together with Alboin from German band EISMALSOTT on a cover of BATHORY's "The Woodwoman" (originally on "Blood On Ice"). The cover, which was recorded in July, will be featured on the upcoming tribute album by the Swedish label Total Holocaust Records. Other bands participating in the CD will be FUNERAL WINDS, MOONTOWER or MACABRE OMEN. Since this is a collaboration, the cover will be released under the band name THE LONESOME PROCESSION.
